Banksy Wall Stickers

An Introduction Is Probably Needed!

Even if you're familiar with the world of wall stickers, there's a good chance you've not heard of Banksy. If that's the case, you'll probably want to know a little bit more about him before deciding to put one of his creations on your dining room, kitchen or lounge wall.

With that in mind, here's a bit of background on Banksy and the style that he works in...

Banksy's name has become synonymous with street art - in particular graffiti, a style which he still frequently works in. But don't let that fool you. He is an accomplished artist who has added his own personal touch to established classics like Constable's 'The Haywain.'

We mention this because his work is quite specialist and extremely unique. Unlike other forms of decoration, Banksy wall stickers won’t work in every room - so you'll need to do quite a bit of research and creative thinking before deciding exactly where to position his art work.

To help you make this decision, we thought we'd look at a few examples of his work and make some suggestions as to which locations they might best work in...

Banksy Wall Sticker Ideas

We've spent a lot of time sourcing the best Banksy wall stickers - which means you're bound to be able to find some that are suitable for your home.

Here are just a few of them, along with a few creative design ideas to help guide you.

Example 1: Banksy Gun Toting Panda

Yes, you heard us correctly; this image depicts a Panda holding aloft two pistols in a manner reminiscent of a Quentin Tarantino or Dirty Harry movie. As such, this retro image clearly derives its influence from seventies cinema, which means it might be well suited above the television in a bedroom, adjacent to your DVD collection or even in your study (if you've got a record player and a decent collection of old vinyl then this would be the ideal place to put your Banksy wall sticker!)

Example 2: Banksy Heart Baloon

This extremely touching image depicts a young girl looking upward as a heart-shaped balloon, which has slipped free from her grasp, drifts up in to the sky. It would be all too easy to make the obvious suggestion - of putting this on the wall or door of a young child's bedroom. But the image is much more versatile than this. The girl's gaze - along with the balloon itself - are angled upward, which means the decal could be used to direct people's gaze toward a particular location.

You could put this Banksy sticker at the bottom of the stairs, for example, as if to indicate that the object might continue its upward trajectory until it reaches the landing above.
Example 3: Banksy Monkey

This humorous Banksy wall sticker won't be universally suitable - but will work well if placed in the right room. The picture is of a monkey, ever so slightly slouched over, with a placard around his neck that displays the legend

'Laugh now, but one day we'll be in charge.'

This would not look out of place in someone's study - perhaps above their desk to help introduce some levity in to an environment that's ordinarily work-orientated.

It might also work well in a younger person's bedroom (they're bound to appreciate the humour): above their bed, maybe, or overlooking their recreation area.

Example 4: Banksy Love Rat
This is not the sort of image you would necessarily put in your living room; nonetheless, this Banksy sticker stands out purely on the merit of its originality - depicting as it does a rat holding a brush that it has used to daub a giant red heart on the wall.
